It all began in 1892, when six dairy farmers from Dahlenburg in Germany got together to set up a dairy cooperative. After many successful years in milk production, they had an idea.

      Specialisation in the art of drying food

      Construction of the first spray tower

    • 1962

      First freeze drying plant, launch of quark powder production

    • 1965

      Manufacture of freeze-dried instant coffee begins

    • 1973

      Successful development and introduction of innovative convenience products such as the Florentine mix

    • 1974

      Facilities expanded with the installation of many new batch tunnels

    • 1976

      Construction of the fourth spray tower

    • 1978

      First vacuum belt dryer to process raw materials

    • 1981

      Transformation into a public limited company, MOLDA AG

    • 1993

      Production starts at the 19th batch tunnel

    • 1995

      ISO certification

    • 2001

      Production at the second continuous freeze-drying plant starts

    • 2002

      Roller drying commences and the third freeze-drying plant goes into action

    • 2006

      Renovation of the belt drying plant

    • 2009

      Large-scale investment in the sixth spray tower
